Partner Program expanded to make VoIP security products available to Small and Medium Businesses, Enterprises and Carriers worldwide...

Ottawa, ON – Sept. 16, 2008 – VoIPshield announced today that the VoIPguard VoIP Intrusion Prevention System (VIPS) product family has been expanded to address the growing market for VoIP in small and medium business, and the increase in VoIP trunking services being made available by carriers and telcos. The new entry-level model, the VIPS 10, is designed for small businesses or branch offices. The high-end model, the VIPS 1000, is a carrier-class product.

“As more and more VoIP telephony products hit the market with similar features and functions, resellers and VoIP service providers are looking to differentiate themselves from their competition”, said Rick Dalmazzi, President and CEO of VoIPshield Systems. “Our VoIP IPS (VIPS) products are priced to allow solution providers and enterprises to install secure VoIP systems at a cost per endpoint that is only marginally higher than an unprotected system.”

The VoIPguard family of VoIP Intrusion Prevention products run in either IDS or IPS mode, and introduce no appreciable latency in the voice traffic. The VIPS appliance protects the PBX and endpoints against attacks designed to disrupt phone service, steal voice-based corporate assets, or use the VoIP network as a vector of attack against the traditional data network. VoIPshield also announced that it has expanded its Authorized Solution Partner program to add coverage for geographies outside the U.S. and Canada. A list of VoIPshield’s authorized reseller and consulting partners can be found at www.voipshield.com/partners/partners-overview.php

“To successfully expand into new markets we rely heavily on the technical skills and sales expertise of our channel partners, who are the experts in determining their customers’ needs and finding the most effective security solutions”, said Paul Dombowsky, Director of Channel Development for VoIPshield. “We are delighted to be represented by a very capable and accomplished group of solution providers.”

The VoIPshield partner program comes in two flavors: the VoIPshield Authorized Reseller Program is for solution providers wishing to sell and support the VoIPguard VIPS product line; and the VoIPshield Certified Consultant Program is for consultants, auditors and security services companies wishing to use VoIPshield’s VoIPauditTM Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing product in their security practice.

“We see growing demand for VoIP security and look forward to working with VoIPshield and offering their specialized products” said Marcelo Branquinho, Director at TI Safe, a security consultant and reseller based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. “The regulatory requirements here are the same as in North America and Europe so firms are starting to include VoIP security as part of their risk management strategy and making the investments to protect themselves.”
