Fujitsu Sets Up Brand Retail Presence In India

Inaugurates India’s first concept store in Chandigarh...

Chennai, June 08, 2006: Fujitsu, World’s leading provider of customer-focused IT and communications solutions for the global marketplace today announced setting up of brand retail presence in India in line with its growth strategy for the country. The first concept store to be set up in the country was inaugurated in Chandigarh today by Shri Chander Mohan, Deputy Chief Minister, Haryana in the precence of renowned astrologer Dr. Prem Sharma. This store has been set up in association with Fastrack Computing, Chandigarh.

The first concept store is spread over 300 sq. feet of retail space and will offer consumers a wide range of Lifebooks, Tablet PC’s, desktops and other hi-end computing products from the Fujitsu.

Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Ramanjeet Singh, Head, PC Division, Fujitsu India Ltd. said, “India is evolving as a market for computing products and is rapidly emerging as a huge market. Fujitsu had anticipated the importance of Indian market a long while back and is today ideally placed to meet consumer’s expectations”.

“This is the first in the line of such concept stores and is a part of an aggressive marketing campaign for Fujitsu in India. It would enable us to establish direct customer contact and feedback and will pave the way for many hi-end products to come from the Fujitsu stable”, he added
